COLOURING UP your language

This talk  is intended to open up the audience to a new world of language that
(1) will enrich their communication abilities;
(2) will use humor and wit to explain how figurative language works; and
(3) how one can eventually learn to use figurative language with ease.

The whole idea behind ‘Colouring up Your Language’ is to help you to communicate creatively in a fun and enjoyable manner. Layer by layer, you will feel your inhibitions becoming lesser and lesser until you feel completely relaxed about using idiomatic phrases and similes without fear or discomfort.

By the end of the session, you would have learnt at least 100 new idiomatic phrases and similes. More importantly, you would be able to apply them aptly in everyday use! With this new knowledge, you’ll be more confident when you encounter other aspects of figurative language.

Adrien Singh John has been teaching English for the past 8 years to both primary and secondary students privately. He constantly emphasizes to his students the importance of using figurative language in their compositions to colour up their content. Consequently, many of his students have shown a significant improvement in both their ability to write as well as understand the English language.
